M.Tech. Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Official guidelines prescribed by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) & Government of Karnataka for Postgraduate engineering admissions.

🎓 Academic Eligibility Criteria

Qualified B.E. / B.Tech Degree: Passed B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant discipline from an AICTE recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC/ST/Category-I Karnataka candidates).
Entrance Examination: Valid score in Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) conducted by KEA or GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
GATE Qualified Candidates: Candidates with a valid GATE score are given priority preference in seat allotment and eligible for AICTE/VTU stipend assistance.
Sponsorship Quota: Candidates sponsored by Industry / R&D organizations / Educational Institutions with minimum 2 years experience are eligible under sponsored seat quota.
