Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, established in 2009, is dedicated to producing graduates and postgraduates with strong foundations in the field of Electronics and Communication. The department emphasizes a balanced education in mathematics, science, and engineering while fostering analytical problem-solving skills to address both local and global technological needs. Through practical training in advanced laboratories, problem-based learning, and design analysis, students acquire hands-on experience. The curriculum also highlights the importance of effective communication skills, equipping students for diverse professional roles. Supported by a team of skilled, experienced faculty—most of whom hold postgraduate degrees and are pursuing Ph.Ds.—the department fosters a strong research culture, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a computer center with over 50 systems, and engaging students in multidisciplinary projects and collaborations. Committed to holistic development, the department aims to impart quality technical education that prepares students for global challenges and industry demands. Graduates are equipped to excel in modern engineering applications, leveraging advanced mathematics and electronics principles, and employing cutting-edge tools for research and innovation. The program instills ethical and professional responsibility, entrepreneurial skills, and lifelong learning through seminars and workshops. With opportunities for research in collaboration with industry and academia, the program motivates students to pursue higher studies or careers as engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, and consultants, making meaningful contributions to technological and societal progress.
Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
I am extremely privileged to be the Head of ECE Department at VVIT. To groom the budding engineers is the task and commitment of each and every faculty member. There are many ways in which the faculty can contribute to the growth and development of engineering skills in students. As a unit, the department faculty take care to impart value based education along with academic syllabus prescribed by VTU.
The students are encouraged to bridge the gap between the class room studies and the real time application in the design of electronic control circuits. The ECE Department believes in the vast scope and the need to train the ECE students to take up the challenging jobs in the industries. Overall, our endeavor is to make VVIT as one of the premier engineering institution providing excellent academic ambiance. Through this short message, on behalf of ECE faculty, I wish each and every student a bright and prosperous career
