The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at VVIT, established in 2009, offers an undergraduate program in Computer Science & Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students and a postgraduate program in Computer Network Engineering accommodating 18 students.
In today's world, computers are integral to addressing challenges of all scales, and skilled computer engineers play a pivotal role in driving innovation. Graduates of the department have a wide array of career opportunities, including developing software systems for applications such as user interfaces, networking, databases, forecasting, web technologies, medical communications, satellite systems, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and neural networks.
The department boasts a highly qualified faculty with significant industry and academic experience, employing a blended teaching approach to prepare students for the rigorous demands of the industry. It also houses an extensive library of reference materials and software tools, supporting global contributions through impactful ideas and skilled graduates.
State-of-the-art laboratories equipped with the latest branded desktops and three 5Mbps Internet connections enable students to meet VTU academic standards while fostering research and learning.
With a commitment to producing competent engineering graduates and postgraduates, the CSE Department aims to align education with the nation's technical workforce requirements.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is dedicated to providing top-tier education in the field of Information Technology. We offer a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students and a Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in Computer Network Engineering with an intake of 18 students. Our mission is to develop confident professionals ready to thrive in real-world environments. With a team of highly qualified faculty members, the department fosters an outstanding academic atmosphere, inspiring students to enhance their technical abilities and embrace teamwork.
